I believe that God is the Creator, the triune God who made everything and rules sovereignly over all that He has made. He has given us His inerrant and inspired Word as revelation of Himself. The Bible holds as true today as it was when it was written and is useful for teaching, correction, rebuking, and training in righteousness.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to earth from heaven to live as a man. Born of a virgin and in the lineage of David, He lived without sin and was the ultimate revelation of the Father. He died on a cross as payment for our sins. No one took His life; He gave it willingly. After three days, He rose from the grave, defeating sin, Satan, and death. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father until He returns for His Church.
Before His death, Jesus promised the coming of the Holy Spirit who would be the Comforter for His followers and would guide them into all truth.
The Church, the Body of Christ, is a gift to the believer and the avenue whereby the believer should be taught, encouraged, corrected, comforted, and equipped to share the gospel, making disciples of all nations.
I agree with and hold to the confessional statement as put forth by The Gospel Coalition.
